Privacy Policy

MagiSports Zen ("we", "us", or "our") is built with a strong commitment to privacy. The app is designed primarily for on-device use. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

1. Information We Collect

MagiSports Zen does not require an account or sign-in. Most data never leaves your device.

Heart rate and health data (on-device only)

With your explicit permission, MagiSports Zen reads heart-rate samples from Apple Health (iOS / Apple Watch) or Google Health Connect (Android). This is optional and requires a Pro license for live heart-rate display and biofeedback during Player and Heart Coherence sessions.

• Heart-rate data is used only on your device for live BPM display, breathing-pacer feedback, and optional average BPM in local session history.
• We do not upload heart-rate readings or health time-series data to MagiSports servers.
• Revoke access anytime via Settings → Heart Coherence → Revoke Health Permissions, or through your platform health app (Apple Health or Health Connect).
• On Android, optional background Health Connect access may be requested for more reliable updates during longer sessions.

2. Information That May Leave Your Device

• Google Cloud Text-to-Speech (optional, Pro only): When you select a cloud neural voice in Voice Calibration, the text of the narration is sent to Google for synthesis. System (on-device) voices do not send narration text to the cloud. See Google Cloud Privacy Notice.
• Remote script packs (optional): If enabled by the developer, the app fetches script pack metadata and downloads packs from infrastructure you control. Purchase status may be forwarded for entitlement validation.
• App Store / Google Play purchases: Transactions are processed by Apple or Google. We receive only standard purchase receipts and entitlement status via RevenueCat or the platform SDKs.
• Error reporting (optional in builds): Some builds may use Sentry-compatible reporting (Bugsink). No user-identifiable analytics are included in the open-source distribution.

3. What We Do Not Collect

• No email addresses, phone numbers, or login credentials
• No cloud sync of your neural sessions, brainwave choices, or history
• No cloud sync of heart-rate readings or health time-series data
• No sale or sharing of personal data for advertising
• No third-party advertising SDKs or cross-app tracking

4. How We Use Information

Locally stored data is used solely to:

• Personalize guided visualization scripts with your name, sport, and team
• Remember your preferences and recent sessions
• Provide live heart-rate biofeedback during Player and Heart Coherence sessions (when authorized)
• Apply your Voice Calibration settings (pace, pitch, and selected system or cloud voice)
• Provide Pro features after purchase validation
• Improve the in-app experience (timers, favorites, etc.)

5. Data Retention and Deletion

All user data is stored locally using secure on-device databases (Hive) and standard preferences. Deleting the app removes this data (subject to device backup policies such as iCloud or Android Auto Backup).

There is no server-side account to delete. Revoking health permissions stops future heart-rate reads but does not delete data already stored in Apple Health or Health Connect.

6. Children’s Privacy

MagiSports Zen is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Third-Party Services

This app may interact with the following third-party services when features are enabled:

• Apple Health (optional heart-rate reads on iOS)
• Google Health Connect (optional heart-rate reads on Android)
• Google Cloud Text-to-Speech (optional Pro cloud neural voices)
• Apple App Store / Google Play (purchases and TestFlight)
• RevenueCat (in-app purchase management, optional)
• Your own infrastructure (remote script packs, if configured by the app owner)

8. Security

We use industry-standard practices for local storage. Sensitive operations such as purchases are handled by the platform’s secure billing systems. When using optional cloud TTS, data in transit is protected by the provider. Health data access is governed by Apple Health and Health Connect permission models on your device.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect the current version. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
